Director of Technology & Platform Architecture

Principal Platform / AI Systems Architect

Mission

Design, build, and operate StewardpreneurSHIP’s technical nervous system—an AI-native platform connecting knowledge, identity, CRM, automation, and execution—while directly developing critical systems and leading contract developers to scale delivery.

This role is both:

• A hands-on builder of core platform capabilities (data, AI, integrations)
• A technical project leader who coordinates and manages external developers to execute against a coherent architecture

Success Profile (What “done” looks like)

• The platform evolves through clean, sequenced execution—not chaos
• Contract developers ship aligned work with minimal rework or drift
• Core systems (RAG, graph, CRM integration) are continuously improved through direct contribution
• Founder intent is translated into clear specs, priorities, and shipped outcomes

Core Responsibilities

1) Platform Architecture & Ownership

• Define system architecture across backend, data, AI, and integrations
• Own schemas, service boundaries, and system contracts
• Ensure alignment with Master JoshAI architecture (no duplicate systems) fileciteturn0file1

2) Hands-On Development (Non-Negotiable)

• Build and ship:
• • Platform features and enhancements
  • Data pipelines, enrichment, and scoring systems
  • AI workflows (RAG, orchestration, tool usage)
• Contribute directly to:
• • FastAPI services
  • PostgreSQL / pgvector data layer
  • Integration endpoints and internal APIs

3) Contract Developer Leadership (Critical)

• Scope and break down work into clear, buildable units
• Write or refine technical specs and acceptance criteria
• Manage contract developers (local or offshore):
• • Task assignment
  • Code review and QA
  • Architectural enforcement
• Prevent drift, duplication, and low-quality implementations

4) Technical Project Management

• Translate roadmap → milestones → deliverables
• Maintain execution visibility (what’s in progress, blocked, done)
• Balance speed vs correctness
• Ensure continuity across multiple contributors

5) AI & Data System Evolution

• Improve:
• • Graph-aware RAG retrieval
  • Entity resolution and identity modeling
  • CRM intelligence integration (Odoo)
• Leverage data + AI to increase:
• • Conversion
  • routing accuracy
  • operational visibility

6) Governance & Delivery Discipline

• Enforce:
• • CI/CD and deployment discipline (Cloud Run, Cloud Build)
  • Secret management and environment integrity
  • Observability (logs, tracing, system health)

Required Capabilities

Platform Engineering

• Python / FastAPI (or equivalent)
• PostgreSQL (incl. pgvector), data modeling, performance

AI Systems (Production)

• RAG architecture, retrieval strategies, tool orchestration
• Evaluation, guardrails, and reliability

Contractor & Delivery Leadership

• Experience managing external developers or distributed teams
• Ability to turn ambiguity into clear technical execution
• Strong code review and system enforcement instincts

Cloud & DevOps

• GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Build, Secret Manager)
• CI/CD pipelines and environment discipline

ERP & Integration Systems

• Odoo or similar CRM/ERP systems
• APIs, webhooks, workflow orchestration

Data Engineering

• Pipelines, enrichment, entity resolution, scoring systems

Domain (Preferred)

• Real estate, lending, or sales operations systems
